Comparitive essay

What would you rather be a young boy who's town is being invaded by the British soldiers or a demi god who is about to be attack by the titan Kronos and his invading army? Well that is what it is like for Tim in My brother Sam is dead and Percy from The Last Olympian. These characters have several similarities.

Tim and Percy are both very adventurous and are curious which is a bad thing in certain places. Like for Percy in Hades castle got a little to curios and found him self between a Sphinx and a door. For Tim he went into a British camp to see what happened to his brother and almost got caught. If he had got caught by the British he probably would have died our been tortured. Luckily both characters got away.

When Percy first got his sword, his master Chiron thought him everything he knows and that is a lot his. Percy's sword is a pen and if you click the top of it will transform into a pen. His sword is also magical that you could through it and it will be back in your pocket. Tim's only weapon is a knife and that does not do much against a British solder.


Percy is also related to the god named Poseidon. Poseidon is the god of the ocean and Percy is the son of Poseidon. This is how Percy got his power of the ocean. Percy's mother dies from a Minotaur before Percy can get to Half Blood Camp which is where the Demi gods go to escape Kronos and the Titans. Tim in the other book has a father and a brother named Sam. Both have served in the war but Sam dies in the war.

Who would you rather be? A young boy whose town is being taken over by the British or a Demi god whose home is being attacked by the Titans. Fortunately this is fiction so we don't have to make that discussion.

Conflits with my Brother Sam is Dead

The conflict's are his dad dose not want him to go into the resistance and fight the Brit's. This gets resolved by the him sneaking away and joining the resistance. The British also capture his dad and are about to kill him this conflict gets resolved by him joining the resistance.

Ezio

He quickly crossed the other side of the street, hoping they would not notice him. As Ezio released his hidden blade's the guards yelled assassiono, assassiono(assassin). Then Ezio put his hidden blades back in and threw his throwing knives at the guards and two out of the four guards died. Then Ezio took out his long sword and threw it at a guard and it hit him right in the middle of his head. But the last guard was smart and he ran and got help, but when he came back Ezio was gone our so he thought; but Ezio was just waiting for him to come back with reinforcements. As the guards were looking for Ezio, he runs at the guards and releases his hidden blades and jumps and kills two guards. As he lifts the blades out of their chest's he pulls out his knife and stabs the approaching guard in the foot and slides it back up is leg and threw his face. Then he proceeded to take out his crossbow and fired then he ducked as a sword went over his head and stabbed the guard in the chest then Ezio pushed him towards the other guards. As the other guards watched one of there own plop to the ground Ezio fired his hidden gun and shot him right in the face and as he fell Ezio had a grin on is face and that is the last thing he ever saw. There were just two guards left one of them had a lance and the other a mace Ezio hit one of the guards steeling his lance and throwing it at the other guard with the mace and the mace flew out of his hands and Ezio grabbed it and threw it at the last guard hit the ground like a sack of potatoes he was knocked out. Then a couple of seconds latter he opens his eyes to see a foot about to come down on his face and the civilians that were around had all left as he look's around as he looks back up and then the foot comes down.

I think the people in my brother Sam is dead they like the British and they don't like the British. The reason I think they like the British is that the British do inhabit there city and they do keep to them selves because there place is like and outpost. I think they don't like them because of the harm they cause to other people and the places the have destroyed.

Out siders eassy

Don’t you just hate when people judge you by your looks before even knowing you? Have you ever heard the expression, “Don’t judge a book by its cover”? In the book “the outsiders”, there are two different types of people, the Socs and the Greasers. The Socs are known as the more popular, rich kids. The greasers are known as the poor delinquents. They aren’t really as bad as people may think. Although they may be less fortunate, they aren’t bad people.

Johnny Cade, a young Greaser, is thought to be a delinquent. The Socs judge them by their looks and Johnny isn’t the most fortunate of people so he doesn’t look like he’s rich, he looks like he belongs to a gang, which he does. Johnny is actually a very nice 16 year old boy that is judged by the people he hangs out with. Just because the Greasers aren’t all rich, they shouldn’t be thought of as the scum on someone’s shoe.

Darry Curtis, the oldest member of the Greasers, is judged just because of who he hangs around with.If their parents hadn’t died in a car crash he would have most likely been a soc but he decided to keep his family by taking care of his younger brothers Sodapop and Ponyboy. He used to be on the football team; he was once a star, and he even had a scholarship for college. Darry had his life set, popular, athletic, smart, but he lost it all when his parents had died. If his parents hadn’t died, he would’ve been a Soc, and be living a good life, but instead is living in a bad neighborhood with the greasers being judged on how he looks.

Before Ponyboy, Johnny, and Dallas had saved those kids from burning a live, they were believed to be horrible people because of their reputation, but really, they are no different from you and I. They just have a bad reputation. If people would stop and talk to them they would say,” hey, these guys aren’t half bad”. No one deserves to be mistreated for their looks or for who their friends are.

You shouldn’t judge a person before you get to know them; it’s just not right. Who knows, maybe there really cool but look sort of funny, so you avoid them instead of finding out who they really are. Johnny, Darry, and the rest of the gang are judged before people ever really find out who they really are. They might be tough, and kind of scummy, but they still are humans.

Johnny is a dynamic characters because he wanted to turn himself in to the police. He wanted to do this because he killed a soc and he did not fell like he should be round anyone any more. He also be friends a soc and his name is Randey.

Out siders

I think this author made the title like this because the characters in this book are all kind of outsiders. The reason I think this is because none of them go to school and if they do go to school most of them don't get really good grades. They also get into fights on the side of the rode or in dark ally's by soces and they are a discrimination to people every were.

Conflicts

When the greasiness jump the soces and the soces like to fight back and that is why one of the soces jumped Johny. That is when Johny got his switch blade and decided to kill bob if he jumped him again. So he jumps Johny again but this time Johny was prepared and he stabbed him and killed him.

Wakusha

The Waukesha war hawks this year are good but they face a lot of their own teams this year like my teams game on Sunday we lost 14 two 1. So in terms of this year I think we are not going to do well. Our weaknesses are the defense and the goalie we have are not that good. Our offense is better than the defense and I think we have a lot of good opportunities this year for Waukesha. The position I play is left wing on the offense and I had to break a ways on Sunday and I shot both times and they both got stopped. The person who scored was Miles Murphy on our team.

Tell tale heart

Is the narrator from "The Tell Tale Heart" crazy? Chances are strong because of what the narrator did to the old man in the story. You will see clear evidence that he is crazy.

First, a man thinks he is being watched by the grey eye from an old man. He wants to kill the old man but he likes him but he does not like the grey eye watching him. who would want to kill a man because of an eye? That does not make any sense...unless he is crazy.

Also, for several nights he watches the old man by opening the door ever so slowly.
This is crazy because who would sit there for an hour opening the door just to watch an old man?

This man dose the same thing every night for a hole week but then one he decides he is going to kill him at midnight. At midnight he goes into the old man’s room and quickly flips his bed and throws it over him and it will slowly suffocate him. After he is dead he cuts his limbs off and his head in the bath tub so no one can see the blood if anyone comes into the house they won’t see any blood stains on the floor in the house. Then he proceeds and puts the body parts under the wood floor. Why would a sane person do this to an old man?

In conclusion if you think he is crazy I will agree with you because of the things he has done and the things he has seen.

I am proud of my country because of the protection and freedom they give us. I am also happy that they fight for our country in ways that keep us safe. There are also ways that kind of make me mad or furious about our country. They are the ways that the president acts toward different things and how he treats different situations.

Canada Health

Canada’s health care is different then ours because the health care in Canada is free which in our country you have to pay for the health care but it is better. Our you can pay for the health care in Canada and get better health care then when you don’t pay for it. Also in Canada a health card is issued to the people that get health care. For the free health care the hand out and the regular health care there are no deductibles.

What if one book held the secrets for world domination? Well that is what the book Spiderwick is all about. There are monsters that live outside of the house that three kids and their mom just moved into and the creatures want to destroy the force fluid around the house that repels all the creatures. But there is a book that holds all the secrets to make more creatures.

This book follows the romance plot line. There are also monsters that are good like a griffin and some fairies that are good that live with the family’s grandma and there grandpa is the one who created the Spiderwick book. There is also an ogre that wants to get the book and wants to destroy the family. There is also a bat like creature that spites in your eye and you can see the creatures or else you will have to use a seeing stone.

Therefore this story reminds me of another story called Battle of The Labyrinth. The reason being is that there are creatures that try to kill Percy in that book. But in the end of the Spiderwick book the ogre turns into a crow and gets eaten by the pig bat like creature. Because the creature likes to eat birds. They also kill all of the little goblins with tomato paste.

In conclusion to this story there are four more book’s to this series and they are better than the first book. There are also more creatures in the next books like giants dragons and many more creatures. What if one book held the secrets for world domination

junk food at the school

I don't think junk food should be band because there are people who can only have a certain amount of times a week. There also people that there parents won't even let them have it. Or the lunches should be bigger for the kids that eat hot lunch. Our they could have healthy junk food like bread.

When I lived in Michiagan

When I moved from Michigan to Wisconsin it really changed my life because I didn't know anyone her at horizon so I was shy towards others. I also didn't know any of the teachers so that made me even more nervous. I also didn't know what the teachers expected from me and I didn't.

Modern Warfare 2

My favorite video game is Modern Warfare 2 because it is a very hard game to play unless you have played modern warfare. I also like this game because of the guns you can use and it is fun on Xbox live. There are also good levels and my favorite level is wolverines because you are in Pennsylvania and there are bad people in one of the buildings that you half to get rid of and go to the top of the building to take out helicopters and BTR's and bad people then you half to got to the roof and get in a helicopter with a mini gun to take out the missile silos and a camp of the bad people.

Tom and jerry is my favorite cartoon in the history of cartoons my favorite episode is when tom and this other cat are trying to get jerry. Jerry gets caught by tom and the other cat they put him in a sardine can and tom and the cat start to fight with each other and jerry gets out but gets caught by the other cat. Then the two cats stop fighting with each other and tom grabs a ax and they make line through jerry and are going to split him in half but then a figment of toms imagination appears and it is the devil tom and tells tom to hit the cat in the head with the ax instead of the mouse. But the ax falls off and it is just a stick so he hits him in the head and makes a big welt but jerry gets way and ties there tails together and the run after jerry but jerry ducks and they miss and hit a door and get stuck in the door and on the front door it states all delivers delivered in the rear. My second favorite episode is w hen tom is reading a book on how to catch a mouse and he gives jerry a cake and there is a mouse trap in it and jerry just eats it all. Then he gave jerry a box and tom was in the box and jerry and jerry was a little suspicious about that so he sticks 5 needles in the box and 4 knifes and saw's it in half. Then jerry holds up a sign is there a doctor in the house.

What would it be like if robots tried to take over the world? well this robot wants to take over the world. With giant guns and big and strong, Rarrrrrrrr!!!!!! He eats people and is a t rex. He can also breath fire and his name is Grimlock. He is friends with other dinosaurs and the others are a triceratops a stegosauruses and a taridactle.

“The Hundredth Dove”

What would it be like to live in the wild catching birds to stay alive? Well that is what the short story the “Hundredth Dove” is about. There is a man named Hugh who must catch one hundred doves for his king.
In this story I think it follows the comedy plot line. The reason I think it follows the romance plot line is because it is realistic. Hugh is also loyal to his king and he likes the king’s girlfriend. Hugh is also frightened by liking the king’s girlfriend because of what the king would do to him if he did like her. Once Hugh leaves the castle he goes in the forest to go catch the doves.
Hugh catches 21 doves the first time but there was a white bird that snuck threw they net. Then the second time he caught 20 more birds this was the same five more times. Except for the last time he caught 20 but the white dove got away again. This reminds me of when I was trying to catch my dog. I was running at my dog and my dog ran the opposite way I could not catch her no matter how hard I tried she always got away.
In conclusion I think the hundredth dove was a good story and I will gladly read it again. So what would it be like to catch birds in the wild to stay alive?

My favorite childhood memory

My favorite childhood memory is when I lived in Michigan in a development called Hidden Lake. My family and I went tubing my mom and my dad were in the front driving the boat and my sister and I were in the back tubing. The tube had three sets in it but my sister sat on the right side and I sat on the left side and my dad was going pretty fast about 30 miles per hour and he turned and the tube flips over on its side so it is vertical. Then we flattened out and were cursing right along.

This memory sticks with me the best because I remember the lake home when somebody says what is your favorite memory. This was probably the most fun that I have ever had in my life. I also like this memory because it reminds me of the lake home in Michigan which was the best house I had ever lived in it was big and cool.

The beach

The beach is the best place in the world especially when you go swimming in the lake and there is a diving board and do fun thing's but you have to pass a swimming test to go off the diving board. I also liked it when I swam to the bottom and saw two fish and they were pretty small.

March Madness

In the march madness tournament I think noter dame is going to sweep the place and come out with the championship I also think Wisconsin will beat the first second and third team they play and then they will lose to a good team. I also I think marqquet will do okay and win the first and lose the second. But in the end I think it will be ohio state and noter dame.

battle of the labyrinth

What would it be like to be stuck in a labyrinth with no way out of the place. There are deadly traps all over the place like the sphinx and other horrendous creatures like a giant snake that almost kills one of Percey Jacksons best friends.

They also get trapped in a room with tons of mirrors in it and the can’t see the bad guy because of that. This reminds me of a time at the state far in Michigan there was a room in the far called the room of illusions and there was a ton of mirrors in the room and you could not tell where the person in front of you was.

This story takes the tragedy plot line because good is weak and evil is strong the good is Percy Jackson and the bad is the titian Kronos. He wants to extinguish all the half bloods so there is no competition for someone to kill him. When they are in their labyrinth they find Percy’s brother and they do battle in a Colosseum and Percy wins by a long shot.

In conclusion to this story it is the second best in the series the best book in the series is the last and it is called the last Olympian. There is also lots of interesting parts in the story and those parts help it follow the tragedy plot line.

how to train your dragon

How to train your Dragon
What would it be like to have your very own dragon? That is what the book How to train your dragon is about. This clan of Vikings goes to a mountain to find dragons. A kid named Hiccup goes to the mountain to get a dragon and he gets a small one that is half the size of a normal baby dragon.

This story is based on the comedy plot line because of evil is weak and good is strong. The good is hiccup and his little dragon and the bad are two giant dragons that live on the sea floor one is green and the other is purple. This relates to me from a time in hockey when Jack and I were skating up to the net and there was one defenseman defending I had the puck I passed it to jack and he scored. The Vikings also have a leader and his name is Stowick the vast also Hiccups dad.

In the end of the story Hiccup and his friends lure the purple dragon to the green dragon and they get the two to fight and they end up battling for a good two hours. Then they both deliver a final blow to each other and they both die. This reminds me of a movie called the Guardian these two guys are search and rescue team and they have to save a person on the boat and if they don’t they will have that memory forever of not saving that person.

In conclusion to this story it is a good story if you are looking for an adventure book. I also like the contexts of the story it was very entertaining and kept me on my toes. So what would it be like to have your very own dragon?

moving to wisconsin

dairy of a wimpy kid

In the story dairy of a Wimpy Kid what would be your favorite part in the story? The best part in the story is when they go to a school party and take a picture of a kids elbow and the teachers think it is a butt. I like this part because it reminds me of sixth grade when we had to draw a picture and we would have to tell them how to draw it.

I also liked the part when Greg Heffley goes out on Halloween and goes into the forest near there house and hears this noise then he hear it again then a person jumps out and it is fregley a weird kid that eats his boogers. This would follow the comedy plot line because there is no evil and the good is strong .

There is also a part in the story where Greg is wrestling patty a girl at there school "He sese she's a girl where do I grab her" Then she jumps at him yelling ahhhhhhhhh. She hit Greg hard and Greg gets knocked unconscious. Then he has to verse fregley and Greg looses by a landslide this remids me of the time I had to v.s one of the best defense men in hockey and I got creamed.

In conclusion I enjoyed the book dairy of a wimpy kid and I think it follows the comedy mode of literature. This book cold remind you of the past so I recomed this book to the people that like funny books.

Waves are loud crashing and an abominaction to nature they destroy everythig in there path like huricans but huricans are nothing compared to a mega sunommey. Mega sunommeys are created from earthquakes and things of that nature.

I am going to go sking this witer my family has just boght a bunch of skies that we are going to go on the great wolf log hill. I like to ski although I have never skied in my life. My favorite thing is the amazing hills.

christmas

Christmas is my favorite holiday because of the gifts I get from my parents. I also like the snow and when it dose snow I get to go sking with my parents and my sister. And when we do go sking I will be the best in my family.

Deep water

The story deep water was a good story because it teaches a life lessen that if you can't swim learn how to before you go into the water. You also shouldn't go into the water if you are unsupervised by an adult. This relates to me because of the time I went into the pool without my mom but luckily there was a life guard near by to watch and then it happened I went in the deep end and went under water I was panicking and almost drowned.

When I first read this story I thought holly cow this really happened to a kid. But the author did do a good job writing the story. But the part when the kid threw him in was just flat out mean I mean seriously what kind of jerk would do something like that. My favorite part of the story is when he concurs his fears and swims the entire lake. This relates to me when I am playing hockey like when we played our other B team for the first time and we tide 2,2 we were so upset. Then the second time we played them I scored two goals and my friends scored the other 2 and the other b team only scored 1.

In the story deep water the author that the water incident happened to him I like the confidence he should after he was dunked. He buckled down and conquered his fears so he could get his confidence back and start to swim again. He worked so hard to swim again and in the beginning his legs felt nom and lifeless so the trainer attached a rope to him and let him bounce against the side of the pool.


In conclusion the story deep water was an okay story considering the fact that it is true. The best part in the story is when he trans with the trainer and swims the lake.

the pearl essay

The Pearl

The story the pearl was written by Steinbeck is a tragedy plot line. The way the story falls into play is why it follows the plot line. The reasons I think that is because of the plots I have made follow the tragic mode of literature.

The form of the story is definitely a tragedy plot because of the time Kino beat up his wife. The greed of Kino for the pearl made him an animal. There was also a part where Kino hears a person walking out side of his T.P. then he jumps out and stabs the guy tosses Kino and he hits his head and it starts to bleed.

At the end of the story Kino sees the evil in the pearl he also sees himself and his family dyeing in a cave. So he threw the pearl as far as he could and watched it plop down in the ocean because he did not need the pearl because of the evil.

In conclusion to the story it was good but kind of short story. I also like the rifle men in the end. But the best part is when he hits the guy with the knife.I did also liked the end when he got rid of something he loved because it was taring him apart. In my thoughts this was a good story.

my final thoughts on the pearl I thick the pearl is an okay story. But the way the story ended was kind of weird how the guy with the rifle thought that coyoto was a coyote and he shot him then kino looked into the pearl and saw him and his family dieing in the cave. then they killed the rifel man and took his rifle.

Then at the very end of the story he throws the pearl as far as he could and saw it sink to the bottom. The reason he threw the peal is of all the bad things the pearl has done to them.

It is an okay story so far and kind of confusing some arts are weird and Dum. The characters are usually sad our mad. The story gets bloody words chapter 3 because Kino stabs a guy with a knife and Kinos head hits a rock and starts to bleed. Then the doctor poison the kid and the same day he comes back and heals the baby just so he could get more money.

The pearl

The pearl will destroy Wanna and Kino because they think the pearl is good but what they don't realize is the things it has done ever since they found the pearl. The good things it has done is it has brought them good fortune which is good if you are in need of any assistance. But the greed of some people drives you mad sometimes which will kill from time to time.
